The AT&T Stadium Secret You Need To Know Before Your Next Cowboys Game

So I imagine a few of you were coming here for me to explain myself and my snapchats (@iamsarahwebb they're still up, if you missed them) last night. Sadly though, you're going to have to wait until Monday for that event recap. A girl needs her time to edit photos and such, you know the drill! It'll be worth the wait, I promise.

Today I thought I'd let you in on my super secret, AT&T Stadium trick for maximizing your Cowboys game experience on the cheap. I first learned about this secret when I partnered with the Cowboys last year for their Female Fan Gameday Ritual promotion.

There is this place in AT&T stadium, ON FIELD LEVEL, called the Draft Kings Lounge. When I say field level, I mean you walk out and you see football player's butts in your face.

FIELD LEVEL, PEOPLE.
You have your very own bar with little to no wait, seating, and you are right there on the sideline, looking at the other team's bench. Close enough to yell whatever you so choose at Eli Manning or Kirk Cousins.

What do you think these field level passes cost?

$1,000?
$1,500?
$2,000+???

What if it told you it was just a $125 add-on to any ticket at AT&T stadium, including the standing room only tickets?!

A standing room only ticket will run you about $29. So you can be FIELD LEVEL for $154.

Why am I being so nice and telling you all of this? Well, I dunno the answer to that yet.
*Insert contemplation face emoji here*

There are also other "experiences" you can add on to your ticket, including:

 || Miller Lite Club Pass  ($150 extra) ||
Located on the Cowboys sideline at field level, rather than visitor sideline (hence why $25 more than DK Lounge)

BONUS - the Cowboys have to go THROUGH the Miller Lite Club in order to get to the locker room, so you'll see them up close and personal pre-game, halftime and post game.

 || High Five the Cowboys Before Warm Ups ($250 extra) ||
Meh. not as great of a deal, but it's an option for you if you have money to spend

 || Miller Lite Corral VIP Mezzanine - Pregame ($100 extra) ||
Includes light snacks, beer, soda and water for the 3 hours leading up to kickoff

 || Postgame Field Pass ($150 extra) ||
Run and hop and skip and jump on the field after the game... it's a lot of fun, I did it last year

You can also get VIP Sideline Pre-Game Passes ($500/person) and even enter an auction to win the opportunity for your group to hang out in Jerry Jones' Perch 30 minutes

"SO--- Sarah, you have all these great things for us, how the heck do we get them??!?!"

How to Purchase Cowboys Experiences

Step One: Download the AT&T Stadium App from the App Store
Step Two: Open app and select "Cowboys Experiences" at the bottom
Step Three: Create an account
Step Four: Click "Shop Now" located just under the headline "Make Every event more memorable with Cowboys Experiences"
Step Five: Starting the Wednesday before the game you want to attend, purchase your experiences directly on the app.

That's it. My super secret trick to maximizing your Cowboys experience on the cheap. Just don't forget, you need at least a Standing Room Only ticket in order to purchase an "Experience" -- cool, right?

My Personal List of Do's and Don'ts for Sports Fans

I was chatting with a friend the other day, and it became evident that it might be hard to keep up with all of the things I like and don't like in the sporting world. I'll admit it, I've got a lot of opinions on gameday attire and in-game rituals. Although I shared some don'ts in an old post that made it to Buzzfeed, "The Devil Wears Ziplock," I thought I'd make a concrete list today of all of my personal do's and don'ts for being a sports fan.

As you'll see below, I'm not a total grouch on everything, only the pink jersey!

Do: Temporary Face Tats for Your Team
The temporary face tattoos for your team are a yes for me. Who wouldn't want to display their team's logo right on their face? I know Mike Tyson feels me on this one. Go forth, wear the face tats with pride, I'm good with it.

Do: BYOP, Bring Your Own Pom-Pom
I was never a cheerleader. When I was a kid, my dad took me to sign up for rec-league basketball. When we got there, the signup booths for both basketball and cheerleading were right next to each other. After noticing that I'd been staring longingly at the cheerleading booth, he said I could choose which one I wanted to do. I picked basketball and that was that. My desire to be a cheerleader must never have faded though,  seeing as I've always been jealous of the cheerleaders! I don't think I've missed a single episode of DCC: Making the Team since it first aired, thus, I fully embrace the pom-pom for gameday.

Don't: The Wave
No. No to the wave. I hate the wave. I hate the wave so much that I wrote a full post on how much I hate the wave. Please do not participate in the wave, it's a travesty to the sporting world that it even exists. The wave is a don't.

Don't: The Pink Jersey
I'm not talking about the breast cancer awareness month pink accents, those are great. I'm talking about the year-round, pink jerseys that some dude in a corporate office created because he thought the only way women would want to watch football is if they could wear pink while doing it. No. No to the pink jersey. Wear your team's colors. Shirt below can be found here!

Do: The Kiss Cam
The jumbotron in general is a yes for me. Like most six year olds, my goal for every game I attend is to make it to the jumbotron. The kiss cam though? Man, if I ever made it with CB to the kiss cam I'd die a super duper happy girl. Yes to the kiss cam.

Do: Glittery Accents, As Long As They're Your Team's Colors
Does this one surprise you? I love the sparkly accessories, like koozies or shoes. I was at the Dallas Stars opener last week with my friend Vanessa, and we spotted the coolest pair of green sparkly Dallas Stars logo'd Tom's. Any kind of sparkly accessories, as long as they are your team's colors are DO for me. (Important note: no rhinestones. I draw the line at rhinestones.)

Don't: Wear A Jersey for a Team That's Not Playing
Bonkers. This drives me absolutely bonkers. Even if you're in nosebleeds, those tickets cost you a small fortune. Yet, you've made it clear you DO NOT CARE about either team that's playing. Why are you here? Go home and watch your team's game.

Don't: Be At The Mall, Wearing Your Team's Apparel, When Your Team is Playing!!
Please go home and watch the game. Or go to the bar and watch the game. You cared enough to put the shirt on, knowing that it was gameday. Go watch the game. I'm not sure why I care so much that you're wearing a team's jersey, yet not watching the game, but I do. Now go home, you're making me angry.

Do: Have a Dog That Performs Crazy Tricks With A Frisbee at Halftime
That right there is mesmerizing and I want to watch. Please continue to provide me with this halftime entertainment because I eat it right up.

Don't: Talk Crap To The Opposing Team's Fans
We have to co-exist, so please be polite. I'll be nice to you as long as you're nice to me. Read: I won't say a word to you as long as you don't say a word to me. We have nothing productive to talk about. If your team has a nice play you don't have to get in my face and tell me about it. Trust me, I saw it. Let's just agree to disagree and never exchange words of any kind. It will only go south.

Don't: Heels
No heels at basketball. No heels at football. No heels at baseball, hockey, soccer. No heels, no wedges, no variation on the heel what so ever. And please, dear Lord, do not try and sell me heels with a Tennessee Power T on the toe. Please stop spending your money to try and promote these to me on facebook simply because I'm a female between the ages of 18-49 who "likes the Tennessee Volunteers Football Fan Page." No real fan, sitting in section 403 - row 16, wears heels to the game. They just don't. Period. End of discussion.  Good day, sir.

And on that note, I'll see you guys Monday. I've gotta go calm down, maybe drink a glass of milk or something. I'm all worked up now.

Hey, Someone Pinch Me!

The Webb/Batman household had a great weekend folks, a very great weekend. Periodically, I feel I should probably clarify why I call my boyfriend CB for anyone who is new to VTIM. In a nutshell: I call my boyfriend CB -- short for Chalupa Batman, a name from the show the league -- because he doesn't want his name/picture on the blog. Thus, Chalupa Batman was created.

Like I was saying, the Webb/Batman household likes all of the same teams, with the single exception of college football. There's no rivalry, or house divided. Our teams have very little competition, other than the argument over who is the real UT. With that said, I'll cheer for his team and he'll cheer for mine. If we're being honest here though, I think CB is starting to become a bigger Tennessee fan... just saying, if we're being honest.

So Saturday, both of our teams had huge upsets over their rivals, with Texas beating Oklahoma and Tennessee beating Georgia. It's been a long time since we've both had reasons to be that happy on a Saturday in the fall. A very long time. I actually wouldn't allow myself to cheer at the end. I was still worried, even while the Vols were celebrating on the field, that something could still go wrong. Tis the life of a Tennessee fan.

Then Sunday of course was COWBOYS day. They came over at 11:30 to film a few things that didn't come out properly last week, and take some shots of me getting ready at our house.

Around 2, we headed to the game. The game was packed. By packed, I unfortunately am not talking about Dallas fans filling the seats. Since AT&T is such an incredible stadium, opposing team's fans pick Dallas as the game they travel to. There were an enormous amount of Patriots fans at the game, making it a bit difficult to get shots surrounded with fellow Dallas fans. That was the first hurdle for filming yesterday, the second hurdle was the fact that the Cowboys had a very difficult time generating any offense. To get the shots needed for the video, let's just say I had to get really really really excited about the little things, like when we managed to move the ball seven yards.

Our tickets were standing room only, but we also had access to the Draft Kings Fantasy Lounge. We didn't exactly know what or where the Draft Kings Lounge was, nor did anyone who worked at AT&T stadium. We asked several people how to get there, but since it was new for the 2015 season, no one knew where it was located. When we finally found it, the smile that plastered across my face was gigantic.

The Draft Kings Lounge was field level, behind the Patriots bench. It was amazing. It wasn't very crowded at all, and you even had access to your own bar. Your wait time for an ice cold beer was only a few minutes. I'm spoiled now, I don't know how I'll ever go back to those 400 level seats my wallet forces me to buy!

Most of our filming was finished after halftime, so a couple of guys who were headed out left CB and me their press pass. The crew that was left was then able to get video during the second half, and post game.

As it turned out, the press pass allowed us to visit the lounge located on the Cowboys side too. One of the guys from the film crew got some shots by the Cowboys' bench. It was just too amazing.

As you can see, my all-time favorite, Jason Witten, posed for a picture just for me............

After the game, we got to go on the field!!! This was the first time I'd ever been on the field (obviously) and it was the coolest. As CB so eloquently put it, "I just can't help but acting like a fan boy right now!

My thoughts exactly, I couldn't stop from acting like a fan girl.

Looking back on this, I was such a nerd. SUCH AN EXCITED NERD.

I sat on the Cowboys' bench and pretended it was where Jason Witten had sat earlier that day. I'm pretty sure Jason didn't sit down during the game, but we'll just pretend that our butts touched the same bench, ok?

CB took this really TERRIFYING fantastic picture of me just sitting on the bench.

I'm a Nerd. Such a nerd.

I hope everyone has a good chuckle over that face I'm making.

I practiced getting both feet in, ya know, in case they need me in Dez's absence.

It was the coolest day ever. If I've said it once, I've said it a million times, I encourage EVERYONE to start a blog. The way it takes you out of your comfort zone, the new experiences it introduces you to, the opportunities that present themselves.... it's absolutely unreal.

Jason Witten Is The Man

This weekend, I'll be filming the second part of the Female Fan Gameday Rituals video for the Dallas Cowboys that I talked about last week.  We will be filming at the Patriots vs. Dallas game this weekend. Although CB is a diehard Cowboys fan, let's not forget that he thinks Tom Brady is the GLA. I'm pretty sure he is downright giddy that he gets to go with me on Sunday.

Today though, I want to talk about my favorite Cowboy of all time, a man who I think should be a candidate for the GLA. You guys know that I live sleep eat breathe the Vols on Saturday, and the Cowboys on Sunday, so it should come as no surprise to anyone that my favorite player is Jason Witten. Yup, for those of you that didn't know, Witten was a Tennessee Volunteer from 2000-2002.

Jason Witten Tennessee Vol and Dallas Cowboys

Jason and me at the ACM Awards

I once wrote a post that Andrew Luck is the new Tim Tebow, but I could have easily written about Jason Witten in that post instead. We all know that Witten is one of the greatest Tight Ends of all time, but let me tell you a little bit about Witten's past. The past that has shaped his present and has absolutely nothing to do with football.

Witten grew up in an abusive household. His father had an alcohol and drug problem, and Jason, as a little boy, watched his father beat his mother and his siblings. He experienced domestic violence and abuse first hand. When he was 11, his mother fled 400 miles away to her parent's home. It was there that Jason's grandfather changed the course of his life, and introduced him to football.

Witten has committed his adult life working to break the cycle of domestic violence. Jason Witten's SCORE Foundation has launched numerous outreach programs in both Texas and Tennessee. Five years ago, the SCOREkeepers program was launched, which places full-time, trained male mentors in battered women's shelters. Their goal is to demonstrate positive male behavior to the children living in those shelters, and break the cycle of violence in families plagued by abuse. He also has a program called, "Coaching Boys Into Men" which trains coaches to educate their players on the dangers of dating violence. These are just a couple of his many, many, many programs to END domestic violence. There's a whole E:60 Jason Witten Tough episode you must watch, if you haven't already.

There are about 82 different reasons that Jason Witten is my favorite player (see what I did there?!?) of all time. Ok ok, we'll call him favorite co-player. I'm sure Jason wouldn't mind if I also include this quarterback that plays for the Denver Broncos that you might know, his name is Peyton.

I'll give you a hint for the Cowboys Female Fan video story line, it involves Jason Witten! Don't get too excited though, I'm pretty sure he won't be in said video, but a girl can dream right?

Follow along this weekend when I go to film at the Cowboys game, via Snapchat and Instagram. Plus, don't forget to link up anything sports related using the hashtag #gamedayvibes!

GO COWBOYS!

Because Why Would You NOT Fry a Pizza?

What a whirlwind of a weekend this past weekend was. Holy moly. Thank you guys so much for all of your sweet comments on Friday's post about Female Fan Gameday Rituals contest! I really appreciate all of your kind words and congratulations. This past weekend we filmed the first part of that video, and it went really well.

Before I dive into that, I just really want to brag on my sweet boyfriend real quick. I never once asked him to help me get ready for them to come over to the house to shoot on Saturday. Not once. Yet he worked his butt off without any kind of hesitation. Every single day last week, he was working on the yard, cleaning, mopping, organizing... anything he could do so I could focus on getting my office presentable. The day of, he spent his entire morning cleaning up the house, doing laundry, vacuuming the floors, while I did my hair and makeup. I never once asked him, he just did it without ever making me feel guilty. He knew I would want to focus on getting gussied up for filming, and he took on all the dirty work without thinking twice about it.

I *might* have cried while giving him a big hug on Saturday, because I was just so touched by what he did for me the past week. I'm not sure what I've done in my life to deserve such a powerful love, but I sure am grateful I have it.

Friday night was spent watching the Rangers -- who clinched the AL West yesterday by the way -- and hanging picture frames in my office. I'll try to take pictures this week so I can show you guys the finished product.

They arrived at the house around 1pm on Saturday to setup and film! I was really freaking nervous, but they said I did pretty well, thankfully!

I had the WORST eye irritation the whole day on Saturday for some reason. My eyes were burning and running all day long, and I couldn't get any relief. Dang allergies! I'm praying that didn't come across in the video. After we finished shooting the first part at the house, we headed to my favorite place in Dallas, and what I am still going to call home even though I don't live there anymore: Deep Ellum.

The pups were the stars of this part of the show!

LOLZZZ at Veenie's onesie!

Once we wrapped up filming, we had plans to meet our friends at the State Fair!

CB and I spent a small fortune on coupons -- you have to have coupons to buy any food or drink. The saddest (best?) part was that we used every last one of our coupons. I guess that's what happens when you spend $13 on a drink that comes in a pineapple.

We had a group of 11 people who went, and among all 11 of us, I'm pretty certain we tried one of everything at the fair. Fried peanut butter and jelly, fried pepperoni pizza, Fletcher's corn dogs, fried jambalaya, fried lobster tail, fried stuffed olives, fried smores, smores beer,  regular beer, regular margaritas, smoky bacon margaritas, fried oreos, homemade chips piled high with nacho cheese and tater tots, fried thanksgiving dinner... if it was fried or came on a stick, at least one person in the group most likely tasted it.

I'm sure this doesn't come as a surprise to anyone who reads this blog, but I made a b-line for the fried pepperoni pizza. It was the best thing I've ever eaten in my entire life. Also pictured is the fried PB&J that CB ordered.

Ridiculousness. Absolute ridiculousness.

I told myself that I would go to the fair that night and not stress over the Tennessee game. I'm so upset with them, but I just cannot stand to not watch. I had to do it, I couldn't help myself.

We lost. Again.

It turned out to be an absolutely perfect, and remarkably cool October night. Hooray for a break in 90 degree temps!

After way too many beers, far too much food, one $13 pineapple drink and a Tennessee loss to Arkansas, we headed over to an EDM show at the Lizard Lounge to see Helene!! Had I not had that $13 pineapple drink and all those beers, I'd probably have more pictures to document the rest of the evening!

And now it's Monday and there's a full work week ahead.
Whomp Whomp Whomp.

The Most Exciting News Ever (Yes, Ever)

Dallas Cowboys Football Female Fan
^^^ yes this news involves this team ^^^

I have a hard time keeping up with twitter these days. When I first started blogging, I didn't follow that many accounts, so it was pretty easy to keep up with my feed. Over the years, through giveaways and blogging connections, I've collected nearly 800 accounts I follow. It feels impossible to keep up with my timeline, and it's rare that I see tweets from the accounts I originally followed. I prefer scrolling Instagram and Facebook throughout the day, predominantly leaving my twitter tab open to the interactions page.

A few weeks ago though, I just happened to scroll through my twitter timeline and there sat a tweet from the Dallas Cowboys about a contest for Female Fans to submit their Gameday Rituals

I of course lost my (for absolute lack of a better word) shit, because this was my wheelhouse.

Female Fan + Female Fan Rituals + Writing + Dallas Cowboys = Sarah's Wheelhouse.

Per the usual, I didn't carefully read the directions and I just started writing and typing as fast as my mind and fingers would let me go. I had the perfect story I knew would win. So I typed this whole thing up, thought it was the bomb, then attempted to edit my story down to 500 words.

I somehow managed to cut out about a million very important details and.... voila.... 500 words ready to go about my Female Fan Gameday Ritual!

Then I realized it said 500 characters.

Womp womp womppppppp....

I went back to the drawing board and was forced to cut out every last thing that I thought made the story stand out from the crowd. I submitted my 500 character story and felt sad.

A few weeks passed and I decided I didn't win. Meh.

Until I got an email that went something like this... (I'll paraphrase here to save time)

"You won."

And then I screamed at a volume I didn't think I was capable of reaching and terrified General who was sleeping on my lap at the time.

Dallas Cowboys Football Female Fan

I don't want to give away too many details about the story itself, but it will be filmed and aired at Dallas Cowboys games on the Jumbo Tron (holy fudge), on their blog built specifically for female fans called 5 Points Blue, and across the Dallas Cowboy's social media channels. There are also some other sweet prizes that come with it, like Cowboys tickets, merchandise and even some cash money! The video is hands down the coolest to me though!

Tomorrow they'll be filming the first part of the story at my house, so I've been scrambling to make my office look like I didn't just move in a couple months ago. The second part of the video will be filmed at AT&T Stadium next weekend, at the Patriots vs Cowboys game.

I'm very nervous and ridiculously giddy. It's one thing to go out and take blog pictures, but video? That will be very new for me.

I hope you guys will follow along with me this weekend as we film the first part of the story. I'm going to hand the phone and camera off to CB so he can document behind the scenes on Snapchat and Instagram

Eeek... HOW BOUT DEM COWBOYS?!?!

Playing Nice at a BBQ Divided

As we all know, football season is about gathering with friends. As we also know, football season means occasionally gathering with friends who root for a different team than you do!

This probably won't shock anyone, but in the past I haven't always been the kindest opposing fan. When you play in the SEC, everyone is your rival. The entire season hangs on every single game, which sometimes makes you say things to the other fans that you'll regret later. I will say though, having this blog has helped me be more respectful to my rivals. I'm trying so hard over here y'all, I really am! Peace, Love and Football!

During pre-season, CB and I hosted a  cookout with a bunch of friends to watch the Cowboys take on the Vikings. Sure it was just pre-season, and the game really didn't matter, but we really just wanted a reason to have everyone over to grill out on Sunday Funday! Looking for more reasons to gather? Check out Gather, a Tumblr page created by The Clorox Company designed to help inspire fantastic excuses for gathering friends together. My excuse? The return of football!

Let me set the scene for you. We're cracking open a bag of Kingsford Charcoal, unwrapping the burgers and hot dogs, laying out the toppings and necessary accoutrements, setting up cornhole, tuning the TV to the game and are about to fire up the grill when the UNTHINKABLE happens.

IN WALK VIKINGS FANS?!?

What do you think I did?

Did I....
A: Kick Them Out
B: Force them to wear blue and silver
C: Give them the side-eye emoji face all night

You know what? Old Sarah would have kicked them out or forced them to wear blue and silver, but new Sarah though? No, new Sarah is far more refined than that. New Sarah knew they were coming and prepared for their arrival. This new behavior, the kind of behavior where I'm not a crazy one-sided fan, is how we can now have nice things friends.

I greeted them with a purple mocktail in honor of their team -- 3 parts grape juice, 1 part orange juice, 1/2 part lime juice over crushed ice and a lime wheel garnish -- as well as purple and gold signs to cheer on their team.

I of course threw in a little blue and silver, you know, just sprinkled here and there. Everyone wearing the correct colors blue and silver, received the Dallas mocktail- crushed ice and snow cone syrup, topped with soda water!

I cheered for Dallas, they cheered for Minnesota, we ate painfully delicious hamburgers.... and the only argument was over who was entitled to the last hot dog!

^^^ dat burger doe ^^^

Besides, if we didn't have opposing teams, I'd never be able to flaunt my team's superiority!

Hah! Come on y'all.... I kid, i kid!

Thank you to The Clorox Company and the Gather for sponsoring this post and opening my eyes to being a more respectful fan! Be sure to check out Gather, a Tumblr by
The Clorox Company that's fueled by beautifully curated content, and designed to help inspire and cultivate great excuses for gathering your friends together.
