Girl's Night on the Fly

Hey girl heyyyy! Long time, sporadically see. What happened to me last week? Oh yeah, that's right, moving happened. I think I really underestimated the difficulties of moving, even when it's just a move across the building.

So what do you do when you are in a swamp of boxes, chaos and a fridge so empty tumbleweeds blow through when you open the door? You call up your equally as busy bestie for a quick dinner! 

Helene and I have very similar, very crazy, July schedules. Not only were we both away for the fourth, but she will be gone for Tomorrowland the same time I will be gone for our photo shoot at work. We knew we didn't have much time to catchup, but cocktails and some good ole comfort food were a Wednesday night, must-happen! 

Enter BJ's Restaurant! They have this fantastic mobile app, available for both iPhone and Android, that makes dining out both fast and easy. I'll try anything that leaves me more time for cocktails and convo!

Here is how it works: you order your meal before hand, via the Dine in Order Ahead option on the mobile app, then when you scan your phone at the hostess stand, your order is immediately sent to the kitchen! 

After being seated, Sarah our server (what a great name she has...), then took our drink orders! It seriously was the smoothest process ever. Oh, and we got nachos....

I'm deeming this as ok, because according to my fit bit, I had already broken my all-time step record that day. Moving boxes, for the win!

We then were able to pay our check through the app, with the Mobile Pay option. That's it, all done. No cards to exchange with the server, no checks to sign. It was all done on our iPhones! So next time you're majorly short on time, but still craving girls night, I highly recommend finding a  BJ's Restaurant near you! 

And to go ahead and answer your question, no, the dogs did not finish unpacking the apartment while I was at dinner. Rude tickets.  I asked them to unpack and put their toys away while I'm at work today... slim chance that'll happen. Sure is a good thing they're cute.
