Unconditional Love + A National Championship

The other day, I stumbled upon a Cosmo Magazine article about turning 30 that I actually didn't hate. Let me first clarify that I love Cosmo magazine, I just tend to shy away from any of their articles that center around 30 before 30, because they make my 28 -- nearly 29 -- year old anxiety, skyrocket.  It listed the 29 things every girl needs in her apartment before turning 30. While I'm positive I will never own number 14, a garment steamer, I was doing pretty good on everything else.

Today's post is about number 8 in the article, a comfortable mattress.

Moving in with your boyfriend means the joining of stuff, and that's just what CB and I have, lots of stuff. Our giant pile of stuff included about 43 souvenir pint glasses accumulated from various Rahr brewery tours in Ft. Worth, 12 Ikea Lack side tables, one "for like ever" framed poster and two king size mattresses. I'm confident that both of those mattresses were carefully hand crafted by a man wearing nothing but a loin cloth, back in 6000BC. We knew we needed something else, an upgrade, preferably a mattress not made of stone. We had been searching for a mattress we could agree on since July.

Then, we learned about this INCREDIBLE mattress, The Dream Bed™. I'm not being dramatic when I say that, I have honestly never experienced a mattress like this one. I've slept in some fantastic hotels with those expensive mattresses and the big, plush, marshmallow-like linens, and those don't even hold a candle to The Dream Bed.

The Dream Bed comes in two choices, the original and the cool. I am always hot (as in could walk around in shorts in the snow and still be hot) so I picked the Cool Dream Bed which contains a phase change cool gel layer to keep you cool while you sleep!

This is going to blow your mind... The Dream Bed comes to you in a box -- with free shipping might I add, and delivered within 48 hours! I was able to get it off the front porch without even needing a helping hand from CB.

I was wondering what was going to happen when we took it out of the box, I think I secretly was waiting for some dramatic jolt as soon as we unwrapped it. Not even close, we simply removed the mattress from the plastic, laid it down on the bed and watched as it slowly began to take form. It was ready to be slept on in just one hour.

The Dream Bed also included what they called a selfless stick, as well as a dream catcher where you can write or sketch your "dream" before snapping a selfie. My dream is to constantly be surrounded by love, and of course, a National Championship. Let's be honest, 1998 was A VERY LONG TIME AGO.

The reason for sharing your dream via social media is to #dreamitforward. For every Dream Bed purchased, they will be giving a child or family in need a bed of their own. They believe that all people, everywhere, deserve access to a good night's sleep and the chance to dream. Pretty cool, huh?

I asked my two sources of unconditional love to help me #dreamitforward, by snapping a selfie of our own to share on social media.

I think this is the winning selfie...

I cannot recommend this mattress enough, you will absolutely love it. It has blown both of us (plus Gee and Veenie too) away. The Dream Bed not only offers a 180 night guarantee, but a $50 off friends and family discount on your Dream Bed purchase. If you're in the market for a new mattress, I honestly hope you will give The Dream Bed a try.

  1. I just bought my first garment steamer last year. I bought it because it was cheaper than buying a wall paper steamer and worked just as well. I was convinced someone hung that ugly border up with super glue.
