That Night I Got To Pretend To Be My Idol...

How bout dem Vols????

You ready for the kicker? We were at a halloween party on Saturday night, I was being a rude party guest and sitting by the campfire streaming the game on ESPN3, while everyone was hanging out inside. So with about 4 and a half minutes to go, after SC took a 14 point lead,  I got disgusted and shut the game off on the phone and headed inside to be a social Sarah.

About half an hour later, my phone starts BLOWING UP with tweets and instas and texts and facebook posts. The Vols overcame a 14 point deficit to win the game in a matter of 4 minutes. And I wasn't watching. I still have not seen what happened. Regardless, I celebrated and went bonkers jumping up and down.

I feel guilty. But maybe I'm the reason we won, because I turned it off, because I'm a jinx

Either way... GBO!

Now, what everyone prefers, lets get into some pictures from the weekend! More pictures, less words = key to blogging success.

No I don't make my bed everyday. Nor do I remember to move the laundry in a timely fashion. Susie Homemaker I am not.

On Friday night, CB and I had a goal to keep things low key. I'm not quite sure we adhered to said goal, but at least we stayed put in my hood-o-Deep-Ellum. His favorite website, the Chive (well second favorite, because hello VTIM is clearly his first) was having a get together just steps from my apartment at a bar called Trees.... so we popped in for a quick beverage. You know, just to scope it out. It was Halloween after all!

You see that up there... yeah that is a balled up $20 bill that he just threw into the crowd. Because that is what "Chivers" do apparently, throw each other money. Insert jaw dropped emoji here. I was not on the receiving end of any balled up money, unfortunately.

On Saturday night... I transformed into my favorite person in the world, Miranda Lambert!

How about my super authentic guitar? Pretty sweet right?

Chalupa Batman was Super Awkward Rob Lowe and I thought that was the funniest thing ever.

Pretend I *Inserted Picture Here*

Cool picture right?!?

On Sunday, my plans of being productive were derailed when I had quite the ordeal with General, when he slipped a disc in his back. I was in and out of the vets office all day. Poor little guy is in horrific pain, but luckily though, it looks like with a couple of weeks rest and some super duper pain meds, Gee should be back to himself in no time!

That night we did hit up the FC Dallas playoff match against the Seattle Sounders. I knew one guy on the field, Clint Dempsey, who I kindly pointed out for you below.

Kewl pictures, Sarah!

It was about twelve degrees outside, I had zero idea what was going on, didn't know when to cheer, and the game ended in a tie. No overtime. Just a tie. Not cool, bro. Not cool.

But that's ok, because the Vols won and all is right with the world.

  4. Josh Dobbs for president.

Also, I felt a little stalker-y because as the game came to an end, I thought, "I wonder if Sarah is watching this! I know she's at a party and all.." Blogging is weird, man.
    But still. GBO.

  7. Your Miranda costume is amazing! I'm really bad about being social when a big game is on too. A few weeks ago, I was out of town in Boston, having dinner with a friend when Baylor overcame a 21-point deficit in the fourth to beat TCU. I felt horrible because I was checking my phone way too much, especially because my friend doesn't like football.

  14. Love that you were Miranda Lambert. She's flawless. Also I can't wait until Chalupa Batman finally let's us see the real him. Is that weird? I mean, the picture of him as Rob Lowe was great, but it just doesn't do him justice. Also poor General. I hope he gets to feeling better soon!
