That Was Graphic

Congrats Seattle fans on the big win! This morning on my way into work, I was listening to my usual morning show Wake up with Taylor, and they were talking about how Seattle should have let up on Denver to give them more of a chance. To make the game more entertaining. Huh? No way man. Seattle came to play, and Denver did not. They deserve what came to them, and what came was a fiery beast of a defense from Seattle. I enjoyed the game, and the second half commercials made me projectile cry all over my apartment. 2014 was not the year of the humorous Super Bowl commercial, that is for sure.

Any who, this weekend I spent with my college roommate Laura who flew in from New Orleans to see me! We had the best time laughing about nonsense all weekend, and of course I dragged her to a Mavs game. Sometimes I wonder how I have any friends at all.

Trust me, I have more pictures of the debacle that was Friday night, but these are the only ones appropriate for posting right now. Saturday was spent in recovery mode, aka shopping all day and a sushi dinner! After I dropped Laura off at the airport Sunday morning, I spent the afternoon at my favorite free wifi and food truck destination, Klyde Warren Park

You see, Whitney sent me this t-shirt to model for you guys. And by model I mean, I did my best.  I'm a big fan of graphic tees, and Whitney has a limited edition t-shirt line, called IWYP: By Whitney Ellen. I have on January's shirt which you can order here. Jump on it though, because you only have until February 9th, which is Sunday, to place your order. After that, the shirts are no longer available. Each order is hand packaged and shipped by Whitney, and even comes with a custom koozie! Fun fact about me, I actually collect Koozies, so I think the Koozie is just as exciting as the shirt is! Shirts are $25 + $5 shipping or $8 shipping for non-US addresses.

Ok fine fine fine, twist my arm, here is one more picture from Friday night.... see what I mean? Fun had by all.

Now go order your Blog Life t-shirt!!

  1. I think I say this every time you post a picture of Klyde Warren Park, but I love it there! I visited Dallas last October and we spent a Sunday afternoon there and I just loved it! Great atmosphere, great food trucks, everything! I'm a little jealous you live there ;)

  2. Totally agree with you! A team shouldn't have to "let up" especially during the superbowl! I was a little disappointed there weren't more funny commercials!

  9. Yay we got the big W we have been yearning for! I'm obviously ecstatic about the win, but that game was kind of boring after awhile.

  10. I agree! What happens if Seattle let up to give the people a better 'show' and all of a sudden Peyton woke up from his snooze and started making some actual plays!? I think not. I was rooting for Peyton, but sadly, he didn't show up to the game yesterday..
Did you know that we don't get the Super Bowl commercials like you do in the U.S? Total rip-off. So we don't bother watching the commercials, we just fast forward through.
Yes, I liked Whitney's shirt this month. But I'm still waiting for 'the one' to show up.. that i absolutely can not resist!

  11. I'm super glad that Seattle won . . . but even more importantly, I noticed that you have Chipper Jones and the Atlanta Braves on your side bar which is far more endearing to me :)

  14. Although I got so bored I turned it off during the 4th quarter, I don't really think there was much the Seahawks could do to let up. I mean, you can't catch an interception and then drop it on purpose, you know? I'm not a fan of blatantly running up the score but I didn't get that vibe from this game!

  15. Glad you had a great weekend. That shirt is super cute. Have a great week.

  16. I can't wait to get my shirt. I <3 Whitney. As for that game, despite the fact that I was rooting for Seattle, I was bummed that Denver didn't even put up a fight. I wouldn't have wanted Seattle to ease up, I just expected a hell of a lot more action from the Broncos!

  18. You said Mavs and I automatically assumed you went to a hockey game because we have Mavs in our league. I need an intervention. So fun that your roomie came to visit! I was super bummed about the Denver loss, mainly because I was hoping to go to a parade. Boo.

  19. Looks like you had fun! :) And I've already ordered my IWP shirt! I told Whit I was pretty sure I'd end up ordering all of them.

  20. While I'm so glad Seattle won I think the game would have been much more exciting played in the snow! :)

  21. Totally agree with the not letting up. It's football..football=competiton...competition=bustin' your ass no matter what! Love you in Whitneys shirt:)

  22. speaking of the Super Bowl, the last touchdown (only?) that the Broncos scored and got the extra two points on? Yeah, I totally knew how and why they got those two points because of your football post a few months ago and told my husband all about how I knew it and he was highly impressed at my football knowledge (considering he has tried to explain it, oh I don't know, 80 times?), so thanks!

  23. This makes me excited to move to Dallas. I loved that park! I can def. see myself grabbing a drink and blogging it up over there! And I love the shirt and glasses, you look legit :)

  27. So sad that Denver didn't show up. They got into their own heads that they needed to play a different game than they normally play. All these stupid crossing routes to evade the secondary did not work and gave Seattle momentum. All the stats were the same except turnovers. Still though #peytonforpresident

It was like a funeral in my living room this super bowl. But a Tucson native did create and act in the Doritos commercial and it was my fave!

  29. Okay, I really avoided graphic tees like the plague after graduating from college (I wore graphic tees with a cardigan, jeans and Converse almost every single day), but now there are some really cute looking ones out there that I'd love to try and style! Looking at all of these three outfits, I'm feeling inspired :) I really like graphic tees with blazers - that's probably one look I'd try out, like you did!

  30. The game definitely wasn't as entertaining as a close game, BUT... that's how it goes sometimes. People who complain that one team should give the other team a chance are a little bit ignorant.

Still can't believe Peyton and the Broncos had such a shitty game.

  31. Was it Ty or Kenny that said they should have let up on the Broncos? That sounds like a Ty comment since she's not a sports girl. LOL!
