Just Let Me Sleep 5 More Minutes

Monday, woof. Ammirite????

Oh wait, what do you mean it's Tuesday? I guess that makes sense, I must have blacked out from staring at this same blank screen trying to write a blog post that was intended for MONDAY. Ok, Tuesday it is then.

I took an unintentional little hiatus from VTIM and I wish I could say I'm back, refreshed and super pumped, ready to hit the pavement running. In all honesty though, I think I'm looking at more of a light little walk around the mall for today.

I had someone the other day ask me what a lifestyle blog was exactly, and I just gave him a giant blank stare. I looked over at CB for help, and he chirped in with the ever helpful and super detailed response, "She talks about her life!"

Surely that guy must have been thinking: "Ah, riveting."

So, in true lifestyle blog fashion, today I'm going to talk about my life (ah, riveting). My schedule has been jam packed recently, and I haven't updated everyone on what I've been doing. If I don't update, did it even happen?? Naw dawg

Well, I had a Christmas.

I got breakfast in bed, which makes you feel the most special.
CB even googled how to make my eggs just the way I like them, which I thought was adorable.

Since we had just been to Vegas, we decided to set a $50 Christmas limit for each other. One of the gifts I got him was the Adele CD, in hopes that this would cure him from singing "Hello" (which I hate) on repeat throughout the house.

As one of my gifts, CB wrapped up several dollar bills to buy diet coke from the vending machine at work. If you know me at all, this is the most romantic thing you could ever do for me. He also gave me a gift card to Starbucks, as well as a card to Academy.

When I opened the Academy card, I asked him if it was an accident that it was in my stocking?
For reference, this picture is from our last trip to Academy together...

He explained that I could get everything I needed for our ski trip in January with that gift card, and I promptly felt like an A-Hole.  That was actually a very sweet gift, bless his heart!

I got to see this chick and we took precisely one very high-quality, front camera snapchat image.

For NYE, we hit up Lights All Night which we went to last year. Unfortunately though, this year's trip was without my favorite EDM lover above, Helene.

Then last, but not least, we went to see the Cowboys play the Redskins. One of my prizes for winning the Cowboys' Female Fan Contest was two tickets to a Cowboys game. I was told they were going to be playing my video that day. Sadly though, if they did indeed play it, we didn't see it. I had to pee so bad the whole game, but I didn't want to miss the video.

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't bummed that it didn't play.

Either way, we had a FANTASTIC time and had ridiculously awesome seats. For sure the best seats I've ever had for a Cowboys game!

A bunch of you have asked for me to post the video, and I pinky promise that the second they give me the the go-ahead, it'll be plastered all over this little blog of mine!

In other news, I'm headed to Toronto for 5 days for work tomorrow! It's one of my favorite work trips of the year, so be sure to follow along on Snapchat and the Gram.

  5. A former boyfriend gave me a $10 roll of quarters once because where I worked had a vending machine and literally no where else to buy food. It was the most simple yet thoughtful gift.

  11. It's nice to see that your Christmas and NYE went pretty well. Hope you get to enjoy your ski trip. I know I will hurt myself pretty bad if I even attempted to do that.
