30 More Instagram Hashtags for Bloggers That Will Triple Likes

When you write a post that does well, a post that people find immensely helpful, it makes it hard to not want to make another post like that again. In my first post, Instagram Hashtags for Bloggers that Will Triple Likes, I found 30 hashtags (the limit on Instagram) that I actually tested on an account that had zero followers. They worked, and I proved it to you. Today, I have 30 more Instagram Hashtags for bloggers to use, that work just as well and some maybe even better. I've included a wide variety of topics from the best dog, pet and cat hashtags to use on instagram, the best food and cooking hashtags to use on Instagram, and the best lifestyle and fashion blogger hashtags to use on instagram.

A Celebration of Phenomenal Women

As you know, over the Summer I was picked to be a Phenomenal Ambassador for one of my absolutely favorite companies, Lean Cuisine. In my first post for Lean Cuisine, The 696 Times I've Weighed Myself, I wrote about what I wish people would weigh me on, my dedication to this blog. A month later, I shared the story of my Grandma, Nan, who is The Definition of Phenomenal in my eyes.

To celebrate my time as a Lean Cuisine Phenomenal Ambassador, I was given the incredible opportunity to throw a dinner party -- for the very first time in our new house, might I add -- for some of the phenomenal women in my life. The phenomenal women I chose to invite, were a few of my girlfriends that I've met since moving to Dallas.

These ladies are such an inspiration to me. These women have worked their tails off building their careers, and are homeowners all on their own, without the help of anyone else. But that's not the biggest reason I find them to be phenomenal. I find them to be phenomenal because they are some of the kindest people I've ever met. These women befriended me without question, eager to grow a friendship with this girl they'd never met.

At a certain point, it's easy to get comfortable and content with the friendships you already have. It takes a phenomenal kind of person to always be open and willing to welcome new friends into your life. I will forever be grateful to these ladies for all of the girl's night invitations, the text messages and the phone calls they sent my way when I needed friends here in Dallas the most. I knew they were the perfect crew of phenomenal women that I wanted to thank, with a dinner party at the new house!

For the appetizers, I had an assortment of fruit and cheese for grazing, as well as a wedge salad. I'm obsessed with wedge salads, and this is the first time I've tried making one at home. I was shocked at how simple it was to put together. Dare I even say it was easier than one of those salad kits you get from the grocery store!

For the main course, Lean Cuisine was kind enough to send me samples from their new Marketplace line. Lean Cuisine recently reorganized their line of dishes into sublines that are more reflective of the way women make food choices. The Marketplace line was developed for the times when women seek modern, chef-inspired dishes. We tried the Cheese Tortellini, the Vermont White Cheddar Mac & Cheese, the Sweet and Spicy Korean-Style Beef and the Spicy Beef and Bean Enchilada. I'm not kidding when I'm say they were so dang good. The Vermont White Cheddar Mac&Cheese, made with organic butter and no GMOs. It will for sure be a staple in my Lean Cuisine rotation. Here is the Lean Cuisine product locator so that you can see where exactly they sell these specific dishes in your area!

I shocked myself with how much I loved the planning and decorating that goes into throwing a dinner party. I never thought I was that kind of girl, but I should have known better, since I've obviously never met a party I didn't like! I think it's safe to say that our night was a total success, thanks to the help of Lean Cuisine, who made it so easy on me. You can also connect with Lean Cuisine on Facebook and Twitter

The Best Flight Tips You Must Know Before You Fly Again

A couple of weeks ago, CB and I flew to Virginia to visit my mom. CB reads The Chive religiously, and saw an article with some tips on flying that we wanted to try out for this flight. Little did we know that not only would they work, some were mind blowingly successful. Somehow, I even stumbled on a few new tips of my own during this flight. It's safe to say this was one of the best, most successful flights. Below are the tips and tricks we used on our flights.

The Best Secret Flight Tips for Flying

1.  If You Booze, Tip Your Flight Attendant
This past trip we took was on Virgin America. The results were mind blowing and I'm not being dramatic.

We ordered two drinks off the touch pad at our seat, one vodka orange juice for me and one jack and coke for CB. When the Flight Attendant brought the drinks, I saw CB take out his wallet, handing him a couple of bucks. The guy's demeanor totally transformed. Not that he was even remotely rude before, he just was REALLY REALLY REALLY eager to accommodate us, "Can I get you all anything else? Another can of seltzer? Another coke? More Ice? Anything at all, please don't hesitate to ask."

The Best Tips for Flying

We ordered two more drinks from the touch pad a little later. Another jack and coke for CB, and a glass of wine for me. Out came the flight attendant with the half bottle sized wine, rather than just the glass, and two jack and coke mini bottles rather than just one. At this point, all we had tipped was two dollars.

The Best Tips for Flying

Because we were on vacation, and amused, we ordered one last round. I switched back to vodka soda (I jump around a lot, so sue me), and CB ordered another Jack and Coke. Out comes, you guessed it, more than we ordered. Two vodka mini bottles and two Jack mini bottles. CB gave him a 5 dollar bill, and come to find out he totally cleared out our tab that we had paid for on the touch screen. The two of us were feeling REALLY REALLY GOOD for only $7. SEVEN DOLLARS! WOW!

Moral of the Story: Tip your flight attendant.

2.  When Flying With A Friend, Book the Aisle and Window Seat.
This worked for us going to Virginia and heading back to Dallas. When we initially booked our seats, I booked the window seat for me, and the aisle seat for CB. The reason we did this is in the event the flight isn't full, it is possible no one will select the middle seat and you'll have the whole row to yourself.

Plus, someone will always be willing to switch seats with you if they're in the middle and you're on the aisle or window. No matter what, you'll get to sit together... might as well try and get the whole row!

3.  Forgot Your Headphones? DO NOT buy them from the airport convenience store.
I got to the airport and realized I forgot my favorite Frends headphones that I spent an entire weekend in NYC shopping for. I went to that Hudson News store that every airport has, picked up a pair of earbud headphones... $35!! They wanted $35!?! ACK!

I know I've seen certain flights sell headphones before, so I went and asked the lady at Virgin's front counter if they'd be selling headphones on this flight. She said I could buy them from her, or on the flight for just $3. I said, "Oh! Perfect! Yes, I'll take a pair."

I started to reach for my wallet and she goes, "You know what, I really don't care. Go ahead and just take it  for free!"

They were decent headphones too. I mean, certainly nothing I'll cherish for years to come, but certainly good enough for the rest of the weekend.

4.  Electronic Device Dead? No Problem. The Majority of Planes Now Have Outlets Under Your Seat.
On the flight back, my phone was totally dead and I couldn't find anywhere to plug my phone in at the airport. Why airports don't have more plugs, I'll never know. I didn't stress though, because all Virgin planes (and most American planes, which I fly for work) have power outlets under, or in between, your seat.

The next time you're flying, reach under your seat to see if there is a power or USB outlet! I believe you'll find either power or USB outlets on the following airlines: Virgin, American, United, Delta, Air Canada and certain Jet Blue flights.

5.  Scan, Print and Email photocopies of your Driver's License and/or Passport.
The last time my mom visited me, she had a scare where she thought she lost her Driver's License. Luckily, she found it, but before you leave you should make photocopies of your identification, as well as emailing yourself a digital copy. If something terrible were to happen, and you lost your ID, this could seriously help. This might not be ENOUGH to get on the plane, but it will certainly put you in the right direction to proving your identity and getting through security.

I'm hoping these tips weren't your everyday, run-of-the-mill tips you've heard before! What are some other tips that you've used when preparing for a flight, during a flight or after a flight?! I'd love to hear them and add them to my list!

To The Hustlers

I'll admit, I have a lot of opinions. Although you won't see me get confrontational with the general public, it is safe to say that my mom and CB know exactly where I stand on certain subjects. Growing up with a successful mother who worked full-time and was (is) my full-time number one fan, there has never been any doubt in my mind that women can have anything they want, especially if they want it all. CB had a very similar upbringing with a mother who also did it all, working full time and raising two of the greatest guys I know.

The blogging community is the perfect example of women who hustle. I don't mean hustle in the sense of what that white kid from Cleveland did on the basketball court last night, or hustle in the sense of a gold foil Etsy print hung above your macbook. I mean hustle, as in hustler, the way rappers mean it... well only far less sexual and in no way related to selling drugs.

Urban Dictionary defines "Hustler" in many different ways. Listed below are a few examples. Oh, and just so we're clear, I'm aware of all the typos listed. I wanted to leave an authentic quote from UD.
People who are forced to use their Brains to make it in this world.
They outsmart the smart, cunning, and has streetsmarts. They know how to get money and is skilled at doing it to. Also they can be so sly that they can sell you stuff you don't need.

A hustler is the way one lives his life. Going out on the streets or wherever making money and working hard for it. A hustler is not lazy he's consistently out earning money. He gets the money by using his smarts and outcunning everyone out there. A hustler has ambition and a more serious approach to life then that of a gangsta or a pimp. Hes more mature, and doesn't neccessarily carry a gun. It can apply to any race, and its the way you uphold and carry yourself.

Also, an exclamation that one makes when walking in on a woman who is voiding her bladder while in a state of undress. WHOA sorry, this is what happens when you think it's a good idea to reference Urban Dictionary to make a point.

The women of 2015 are hustlers. Thanks to the path that the women before us carved (like my grandma, who was forced to hustle because her husband left her high and dry with no money and 4 children to raise, or thanks to the women who chose to hustle, like my mom and CB's mom) the women of 2015 choose to hustle, love to hustle and thrive off hustling.

The women of 2015 still want the same things the women before them did, like clothes and makeup and love and babies (or puppies!). The women of 2015 though, also see the opportunity to profit off these things. Bloggers are a wonderful example of this. They take the things they love, and find a way to make money from it. You have impeccable fashion sense, so you monetize that. You create delicious recipes, so you monetize that. You have an eye for photographing the world and all of its beauty, so you monetize that. You know Adobe Creative Suite like the back of your hand, so you monetize that. You are the mom with all of the solutions, so you monetize that. You are witty, clever, funny, beautiful, smart, detail oriented, organized, creative, patient, crafty, sporty...... so you monetize that.

My point here is that that women of 2015 make money. Then they use that money to open doors that will allow them to make more money. So when I saw this billboard on the highway the other day, my only thought was...

If your wife is hot, she'll pay to get the fucking A/C fixed herself and not wait around for your sorry ass to do it for her.

How To Add An Instagram Feed Widget To Blog That Takes You Straight to Instagram

How to add an instagram feed widget to your blog's sidebar or footer that takes you directly to Instagram.

I've had an Instagram widget on my sidebar for as long as I've been blogging. I used Snapwdiget to generate the code for the feed, which was very easy, but it drove me bonkers. Why? Because it took you to snapwidget's website rather than Instagram. Here is what I mean....

When you click on the picture, it doesn't take you to my instagram.com/iamsarahwebb profile. Instead, it takes you to some random snapwidget profile.

Having a reader say, "Ohhh what a lovely picture" to themselves, at their computer screen is all well and good, but you want them to follow you. You want them to like the photo. Well, I assume you do. Bloggers tend to like numbers, particularly on Instagram! Myself included! If you are sending your reader to snapwidget, it is very unlikely you are going to get them to go click crazy in order to find your Instagram.

Instead, I want to be sure to send them right to that image they clicked, on Instagram. Like this...

You also might want to put your instagram feed in grid form, on your blog's footer, like shown below from my design site or you can scroll down and see it on this blog.  I'll show you how to do that too!

Let's get started!

Whether you want to add your feed to your blog's footer, or your blog's sidebar head over to the website Instansive.

Enter your details: Instagram username or hashtag. If not using a hashtag, which I doubt you are, just leave that blank. Times you might want to use a hashtag? If you have an Etsy site or are participating in a linkup.

Select "Slideshow"
Number of photos - 60
Select your image hover effect

Hit preview, then click get code

After you copy that code, proceed to step 3.

To post a grid of your instagram photos at the bottom of your blog...

Type of widget - choose grid
Number of columns - up to you, I picked 10
Number of rows - up to you, I picked 3
Select your image hover effects

Hit preview, then click get code

Go to LAYOUT in your blogger dashboard.

...For a slideshow on your sidebar...

// Select Add a Gadget on the sidebar //

// Add HTML/Javascript //

//Paste your code, click save //

// Your new instagram slideshow will appear at the top of your sidebar, move it down by dragging and dropping to exactly where you'd like it to appear //

// Click Save Arrangement //
...For a grid on your blog's footer...

// Select Add a Gadget on your blog's footer //

// Add HTML/Javascript //

//Paste your code, click save //

// Your new instagram grid will appear at the top of your footer, move it down by dragging and dropping to exactly where you'd like it to appear //

// Click Save Arrangement //

And that's how it's done! Any questions, leave a comment for me!
