BCS National Championship Drinking Game 2014

As you may or may not know, the BCS National Championship Game is tonight! Here are the 7 Things Every Girl Should Know Before the BCS. If you're already an expert, skip all this and jump straight to the drinking game.

1. Who is Playing?

2. What happens if Auburn wins?

3. What happens if FSU wins?

4. Whose name should you know on FSU's team?

5. Who should you know from Auburn?

6. A year is all you need
7. Game time?
And what is any sporting event without a drinking game to play? Not a sporting event I would want to watch, so without any further ado, I bring you the BCS National Championship Drinking Game 2014.

So who will you be rooting for tonight??

Just for poops and giggles, I'll take a stab at a prediction. I say Florida State 48, Auburn 42.

  1. AHHH! Can I tell you how awesome you are for this post?! Since I live in Tuscaloosa and am now going to UA (no, I don't want to talk about the last 2 games), I pretty much breath college football, which A-OK with me! I'll sooooo be referring friends here if they have any questions about the game so that I can spectate in peace. Great post!

  2. SO. MUCH. NUMBER. THREE.
    GOOOO NOLLLESSSSSSSSS!

  3. I'm sorry i have stolen you away to watch girly stuff instead of football. but we can drink to that, can't we?

  4. I want Florida State to win just because I get really tired of the SEC. The SEC for me, is like the city of LA...they think they're better than everyone and I just don't appreciate it. That and Jake Owen is a Florida State fan and he's really hot... ;)

  5. I will always root for the ACC. Maybe if someone other than the SEC wins, other conferences will stand a chance in the future!

  6. I went to Bama, but Dad's an Auburn fan. I'm so looking forward to the game tonight, even if it's at 2:30am here in Germany. I love college football and always look forward to the Nat'l Championship Game, but I go through a period of mourning for a few weeks when it's all over. The season is just too damn short!

    1. How did your dad handle the news when he first found out you were going to Bama?!?!

  7. You forgot "If Auburn wins it will shush up all the people who keep saying they've just gotten lucky this year". Also, truly it's not fair to lump Auburn with the 6 year Alabama winning streak because it's mostly Alabama in that 6 times and we hate how much they've won too. haha

Regardless, it will be a great game. And you can could definitely get schmammered off the "drink one" category alone. Oh announcers, you are so predictable...

  8. I think you should add to the chug list...if they show any of the team's girlfriends #KatherineWebb. Shot if they mention she's hot.....that wasn't creepy at all last year right??? This is hilarious! Auburn's losing season gives me hope for the Gators next year!

  9. You speak my language when you talk football. I'm really like a guy, at the mention of football my brain shuts down and I engage. Le sighhhh. All I have to say is, "I love God, sweet tea, and the SEC" but I am an AUBURN hater. As a more than exuberant BAMA fan with a loud opinion, I cannot for the life of me bring myself to cheer on Auburn tonight. I. just. cant. and I'm not sorry 'bout it. While I understand 8 SEC straight Nat'l Champ wins, and 6 straight from Alabama would be insanely awesome bragging rights.....I just can't. So with that said, I LOVE this post.

    Roll Noles Roll! #FSU

    1. Hey, I hear ya. There are many SEC teams that I just couldn't bring myself to ever cheer for, ever! I wish I was a better SEC fan!

  10. If I have to hear about the Alabama vs Auburn game one more time I might loose it :( Part of me wants Auburn to win to keep it in the state and the SEC....the other part of me hates Auburn and their fans and wants FSU to shut up their "destiny."

    Cheers!

  11. I am so so torn on this game...I'm so tired of the SEC....but as a Hokie, I just can't root for FSU.

    Oh, college football problems.

    ReplyDelete
  12. GO NOLES. There is just nothing in me that could even manage to root for that cow college on the other side of the state. I just can't.

  13. Number 5, number 5, number 5. This made my Auburn heart SO happy. Can't wait for tonight's game - WAR DAMN EAGLE!

    ReplyDelete
  14. Can you please move to Nashville and be my best friend?

    ReplyDelete
  15. Oh whoa, this is phenomenal. I love me some drinking games, especially when it has to do with sports. Thanks for the rundown of the players, too!

  16. This is so great! I've been raised on football so this is about the time of year I roll my eyes at all the girls that "just loooove football!" Anyone with questions about the game will be referred here.

  17. I can't remember being this nervous about a game since I was actually a student at FSU. In fact I think the last time I was this on edge I was anticipating the birth of one of my children. How early is too early to start drinking... you know just to take the edge off?

    GO NOLES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  18. Love, love, love this. GO 'NOLES!

    ReplyDelete
  19. Well I was enjoying this post until your score prediction. Obviously I think Auburn will come out on top! Can't wait to play the drinking game though! War Eagle!

  20. You have just become my favorite blogger in the history of ever!! I may or not be wasted tonight now that I've found this!! GO NOLES!!

    ReplyDelete
  21. I just love the way you explain sports! It makes me sound so much more cool at work when all the boys are going on about all the sports!

    ReplyDelete
  22. Go Noles! As much as I love that Auburn took out Bama a few weeks ago, I need to root for the Noles so the haters can shoosh.

    ReplyDelete
  23. I love sports. I can watch anything competitive and find something to root for. I am at a total loss with college football. That's the problem with not growing up in a big college town and/or going to a big school where sports count on the national level! Yeah, I know what's happening on the field but no idea what it means for teams and their divisions and whatnot! What an interesting baseball fact about Jameis!

    ReplyDelete
  24. anytime I can cheer against the SEC, I do. GO FSU!

    ReplyDelete
  25. Oh man, if I were not on antibiotics and whatever else it is they gave me I would SO do this drinking game!
I'm not a fan of either team, at all. But, ughhh,..it PAINS me to even say I have to root for AU. ONLY because I'm an SEC girl & if my team can't be in the BCS Champ, if there is another SEC team in it, I gotta for them. I just absolutely hate that it's Auburn, like burning hate. lol but, SEC, SEC, SEC!

  26. i say you have to shotgun a beer if someone on the sideline gets taken out!

  28. I miss out on so much fun being in the UK and not understanding or knowing football!! I need to get out to you to teach me the drinking games.. I mean basics of football!
    M xx

  29. Goodness. I had no idea how many Auburn haters there were in the world. Like I need to say it, I am all about Auburn, but I do think it will be a huge challenge for them. FSU's defense is stellar and we really only run like 3 plays - all running - so, there is that. But you never know how it is going to go. it should be a great game regardless.

    WAR EAGLE!

  30. Love this drinking game! We are having a party at our house (all FSU Alumni) and have been tailgating all day! GO NOLES!!!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  31. Sarah I'm so depressed I can't watch this shiz and drink. Because if FSU wins, that means there is no excuse for the Buckeye's 'soft' season either. Actually no matter what happens I'll be crying in my OSU sweatshirt. And drinking.

    ReplyDelete
  32. LOVE THIS! Can't wait to see who wins tonight! New follower :) Hope you'll drop by and visit my blog, too. Have a great week, and Go Noles!

  33. Love this. I'm rooting for FS for two reasons: I hate Auburn with a burning passion and will never cheer for them no matter what and Jameis is our hometown hero. So it's Go Noles today!

    ReplyDelete
  34. As an LSU fan, I'll be rooting for Auburn for two reasons: 1. Continuing the SEC's dominance. 2. They beat Bama. Ps. #5 literally made me LOL.

    ReplyDelete
  35. You are my favorite right now!
this is PERFECTION, we will just be chugging allll night

    GOOOO FSU!
Florida State, Florida State, Florida State WOOOOOOO

  36. This is hilarious! And I like your prediction. :)

    ReplyDelete
  37. I love your drinking games! Since my big 10 wolverines had no shot at the BCS (or any real bowl game) I am gonna have to cheer for Auburn...the SEC is seriously that good to win 8 years in a row!

    ReplyDelete
  38. Oh please do this again for the Super Bowl!!!

    ReplyDelete
  39. Adore the new design and seriously wish this game was on a Saturday. I can't go hard on Monday nights anymore. Sigh.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Too bad so sad I didn't see this until AFTER the game!!!!!!!!!! A drinking game definitely would have helped my nerves caused by my freaking- out- the- entire- game husband. He's an FSU fan & I'm a VOLS fan living in Tuscaloosa. Please feel sorry for me. haha. Anyways, that was one heck of a game & I hope Tennessee makes their way back next year!!!

    ReplyDelete
  41. Haha, I kept referring to it as "the national match" to bug my husband :) As a VT fan, I'm glad the ACC finally got a win in the BCS bowl.

    ReplyDelete
  42. As the wife of a Sports Information Director with football as his primary sport...THANK YOU!

    ReplyDelete
  43. I'm so upset that I didn't see this before the game yesterday!! Congrats to Florida state, but War Eagle.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Soft schedule my ass. Can't hang with the SEC my ass.

    We showed them. :)

    ReplyDelete
  45. Haha I wish I had seen this before the game last night! Actually, maybe not ... just the "destiny" one would have put me in the hospital lol. I was rooting for Auburn! But that's pretty cool that FSU is the first team to ever come back from a halftime deficit and win the BCS title. Plus my godfather played for the 'Noles back in the day, so I feel like I should have been rooting for them. Can't wait for the playoffs next year!

  46. Hey Sarah-- is there are tutorial for how to create the effect you used for the "Drinking Game" font? I work in design and am always on the lookout for new tricks-- I love the gradient overlay (and that font!)

    1. Yes! I use the same technique as in this tutorial!! http://www.venustrappedinmars.com/2013/06/saturday-sessions-how-to-make-glitter.html

I just use an image that is solid gold rather than gold glitter!

  47. If I had seen the drinking game before now I would have totally watched the game!!!

PS as stated in the post before this - I was going to root for Auburn (SEC and all) and because it would have been cool to keep that title in Alabama for another year, and for the last time it was given... but in end I was a bitter AL fan and wanted to see AU lose. Sorry SEC... if it was any other team and IF we had won our bowl game then YES I would have been a total Tiger supporter. But, I wasn't. For shame... ;)
