Autumn is for Adventuring

I don't know about you guys, but Fall is hands down the busiest traveling time of the year for me. This weekend I'm heading home with CB to spend a long weekend with my family in Virginia Beach, and this past weekend we took a road trip to Oklahoma to go camping. Then, there's of course traveling for FOOTBALL SEASON! The first week of November I'll be heading to the great state of Tennessee to meet up with my girlfriends, cheer on our football team and relive college all over again. Let's just say my excitement level for fall adventures is through the roof, but so are my expenses. Luckily I was able to use reward points for most of my upcoming travel, but I'm always looking for more ways to save money this time of year.

This past weekend, I got to test out the LG Leon LTE which is one of the phones available on the Walmart Family Mobile Plan. Not only does Walmart Family Mobile offer 4g LTE service, but it is super affordable as well. I currently spend about $140 a month on my cell phone plan, and Walmart's service plans cost a fraction of that and just $29.88/month for the first line. The LG Leon LTE only cost me $79.82, but they also had the Alcatel One Touch Pop Astro for just $64.88.

With Walmart Family Mobile, you get unlimited talk, text and a data service plan that includes up to 1G of 4G LTE data. Walmart Family Mobile is perfect for staying connected with friends and family while traveling, cheering from the bleachers of your favorite team's football stadium or just having a lazy Sunday on your couch at home!

To put the LG Leon LTE to the test, I took it camping with us in Broken Bow, Oklahoma this past weekend! Broken Bow is just a few hours away from Dallas, and the perfect distance for a simple overnight getaway. CB handled packing the truck with all of the camping essentials, and I handled purchasing the tasty treats. (Read: S'Mores)

The camera on the LG Leon LTE did a great job of capturing photos of our campground, and the pups exploring!

I'm all for being "one with nature," but I was starting to get the shakes from not knowing the scores of the different football games that night. I had to call my mom and ask for a play-by-play on what I had missed all day. She told me that we had won 55 to 10, for those wondering!!

Thanks for keeping me in the loop Mom, even when I'm in the middle of nowhere!

Are your planning on reliving college all over again, and hitting up a football game? Maybe camping like we did? I'd love to hear what adventures you guys have planned in the coming months!

  3. I am THE WORST about having to know all the scores. Especially right now, as baseball season is winding down. I know it's over, but I still can't let go of the hope that the Angels are going to sneak in there...

  5. Autumn is the greatest time in a year. It brings me an inspiration. This fall I even wrote my college essay without third party services` help, even after I found rush essay review and read it. I won't use writing services anymore.

  6. My husband uses Straight Talk and it is WAY cheaper than big time providers, with even better customer service (big deal there!). I haven't heard of this Family Mobile thing, but I may pay attention a little more after reading.

Finally getting to see Fenway Park (& comparing it to Wrigley) it's going to be a blast, and I happen to be staying at the official hotel of the Boston Red Sox so I'm sure it'll be a great time!
