The 5 Best Dog Friendly Spots in Dallas

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. #PurinaMysteries #CollectiveBias

Like so many cities, Dallas has gone to the dogs! If you google Dog Friendly Dallas restaurants and bars you'll find a list a mile long. It seems like every restaurant here accommodates and welcomes dogs with open arms. I'm certainly happier when the pups are by my side. I'll take them everywhere with me if the Dallas venue allows dogs!

Today, I thought I'd talk about my top 5 dog friendly spots in Dallas.

Before we get into that though, I wanted to tell you about a special happening at the ultimate dog friendly spot, Petsmart. Petsmart has teamed up with Purina® to offer shoppers an amazing deal: from June 1- June 30th when you spend $40 on participating Purina products, you get a $10 Petsmart gift card.  This offer can actually be redeemed an unlimited amount of times during the month of June, so feel free to shop the special as much as you like!

Upon spending your $40 on participating Purina products, you will then register with your contact information and upload your receipt to the redemption site, HERE!  You will then be mailed a physical, $10 Petsmart gift card in 4-8 weeks for use on a future visit!

After you're done stocking your cabinets with those participating Purina products, head to one (or all!) of these top 5 dog friendly spots in Dallas to hang with your bestie who stole your heart! Oh, and be sure to tag #PurinaMysteries on social when you're visiting one of these spots!

Mutts is a dog park, restaurant and human/k9 watering hole all rolled into one. This place has been my favorite spot to post up for years. It's a great place to bring your laptop, get some work done and hang with your pup at the same time. Find a spot in the shade and just chillax!

.......Always looking for squirrels.......

2. Ten Bells
This patio in Bishop Arts is shaded (a must in Texas if you want to do a patio) and a great spot to chill with your pup and take in some live music or play trivia. If you're a fan of trivia, round up your pup squad and meet on Wednesdays at 8pm.

BONUS: although they limit the amount of people per team, there's no rule that limits the amount of pups. If All Dogs Go To Heaven or Snoop Dogg is one of the trivia answers, you'll be in luck!

Harwood Grove is the CUTEST little spot you ever did see. Not only is it dog friendly, but they actually handed us frisbees when they saw we had our pups with us! There are hammocks, lawn games like cornhole and even volleyball! Harwood Grove is open seasonally, and a fabulous spot to hang (or lounge on a hammock) with your pup in Dallas!

The Foundry + Chicken Scratch has live music nearly every weekend, and tons of outdoor picnic tables for you and your pup. There is far more outdoor space, than indoor. Plus, there are servers outside so you don't even need to worry about going inside! Awesome pup friendly restaurant and bar right on the outskirts of downtown.

Although Lee Harveys is  leashed dog friendly all week long, on Sunday they have what's called dog day afternoon. On dog day afternoon, their fully fenced-in patio goes to the dogs! It becomes an off-leash dog park for well behaved pups!

Sundog Funday, anyone??

Don't forget to shop those select Purina products for the entire month of June, and get your hands paws on a $10 Petsmart gift card! Here's a look at the products included in the promotion at Petsmart!

Where are your favorite dog friendly spots in your city???

Your Must Have Holiday Lip Color

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. #GetHolidayReady #CollectiveBias

Lip Color: Neutrogena® MoistureSmooth Color Stick in Cherry Pink, also purchased Plum Perfect (shown below)

Veenie and I were talking over coffee the other day -- well, Veenie can't have coffee because she is not only a dog but a Jack Russell terror terrier -- and we decided we needed to do a "Just the Gals" Christmas Card picture this year. We decided we would both get all glammed up, and get CB to snap a few pictures.

While Veenie put on her new sparkly red Christmas collar we picked out together, and I put on the new Neutrogena MoistureSmooth Color Stick I picked up from Walmart earlier in the week. I picked out two of the bolder shades from the line, Cherry Pink - which I'm wearing in the photos, and Plum Perfect which I'm planning on wearing to Thankgiving dinner this year.

In the Neutrogena MoistureSmooth Color Stick line there are 16 shades, designed to get whatever Holiday glam look you're trying to go for. They are made with fruit extracts, along with mango and shea butter, which maintains lip moisture in the drying Winter season. Plus, the twist up package allows for perfect application each time, without the need for a sharpener tool.

To get my simple but glam Holiday look:
1. Sweep concealer under eyes
2. Use a primer base to hold eyeshadow in place, sweep a soft pale white shadow over eye lids. Use a darker brown shade in crease.
3. Apply liquid eyeliner. I like to use a piece of scotch tape on the corners of my eye to get the perfect wing each time. I apply liquid liner, then remove tape when finished for the perfect line.
4. Apply a soft shade of pink blush
5. Finish with Neutrogena Moisture Smooth Color Stick in Cherry Pink.
6. Easily remove at the end of the day using Neutrogena® Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes

SO WHAT DO YOU THINK? On a scale from 1 to 10, how Holiday Glam do Veenie and I look??

I also picked up the Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes to remove my lip color so I could give Veenie all the kisses when we were finished.

CB thinks Veenie and Gee kisses are gross. I think they are the glue that holds the world together!

Needing a great lip color for your family's Holiday photos or parties? Check out the Neutrogena® section at Walmart, it is located in the makeup and beauty department!

One Happy Veenie

I've talked about my full time job here and there (full post on what I do here) but for those who don't know I work for an outboard motor company. One of the perks (which I never took advantage of until this year because I'm dumb) is the company boat. As you can imagine, an outboard motor company has a company boat for employee use. All you gotta do is put your name on the signup sheet and it's yours for the day! Another perk of working for an outboard motor company? The fact that everyone who works here is a boating enthusiast, and already own their own boat...so....ipso facto... the boat is available pretty much anytime I want it.

My mom came in town this past weekend, so I put my name on the list to take the pontoon out. Once I was told dogs are OK on the boat, I promptly went out and secured a life jacket for Veenie.

Now- for those wondering, "WHAT ABOUT GEE?" Well, Gee hates the water and is not to be trusted off a leash, because he is a beagle with a nose for the news. Trust me on this one, Gee with the house to himself, and no crazy Veenie jumping on his head at all times, that was a treat for him.

So I strapped Veenie into her lifejacket and we headed out to Lake Grapevine. What happened next will put a smile on your face for the rest of the day.

Yes, this is just a post with photos of my dog over and over and over again. Deal with it.

And here she is helping CB catch fish....
(I know, I'm so annoying RN, I can't help it)

Man oh man... What a delightful set of images.
You think Veenie had a good day?!?

Still not sold? Ok, well check out this video.
